Our concussion doctor is not only board-certified in family medicine but also fellowship-trained in sports medicine. Having undergone extensive training and education, she specializes in providing comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals who have suffered a brain or head injury due to a blow to the head or jolt of the body.

In addition to providing exceptional concussion management care, our doctor is committed to continuing her education and is always actively learning the newest evaluation techniques, recovery processes, neurocognitive testing, and treatments for brain and head injuries. She is also considered one of the most highly skilled concussion specialists in the area.

Our Specialty-Trained Concussion Doctor

An expert in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating brain and head injuries, our concussion doctor knows that concussions demand specialized medical attention and proper assessment. That's why she is dedicated to providing each patient with a thorough evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and individualized concussion treatment as well as follow-up care and a return-to-play plan.

During her initial consultation, our concussion doctor will check for symptoms associated with a concussion as well as conduct a thorough assessment and perform diagnostic tests, such as an MRI or CT scan, if needed. If the athlete or active individual had baseline concussion testing completed prior to the injury, our doctor will compare the new test results with the baseline results to determine the effects of the head or brain injury. She will also use the results to help her develop a return-to-play plan that safely gets an athlete back in the game.

When developing a concussion management plan for a patient, our specialist takes a multidisciplinary team approach. She works closely with our additional healthcare providers to create a personalized care plan that supports the patient’s recovery process. She also coordinates additional services, such as physical therapy, rehabilitation services, and vestibular therapy, to ensure that all of the patient's needs are being met and the recovery process goes smoothly.
